Apologies for my late reply to your message from more than a year ago, I hadn't checked my messages and overlooked yours.
The reference to the houses photographed, including yours, was only gleaned from his Cornish list printed on page 45 of my book - you will probably need a magnifying glass to see the text. This list is I believe in the Michael G Wilson Collection album of Cornish views from where the illustrations I used originate.
It appears that Gutch tended to stay with friends of his and often made a photograph of the property as a gift and a memory of his visit. He may of stayed at Alverton Cottage, or the owner asked him to record it.
