I will make sure to pass by the gallery and pick up a catalogue, I'll keep a look out for photographs when I'm in the Mumbaiantique shops I go in to. If it's just images you are looking for for publication why dont you try The Curator of Mysore Museum. Michael Ludgrove, he works for the Maharaja of Mysore who collects 19th century Indian photography.
I completely agree with you on British/Indian photography links, I'd be very interested in seeing the exhibition in India. I've been working on my own photographic portrait project in India for some time now with help from the Birmingham library and Arts council England and have been studying the 'People of India' volumes held at Brum Library, Brit Library ect, I've just completed 27 out of the 29 states in India taking portraits as I went. I have an exhibition in London in November and will be hoping to use some of the prints from the Birmingham collection alondside some of my portraits and also my grandfathers photographs. He was a photographer for the 'Times of India newspaper' and also the head of thre Inian army photographic unit in world war two. That's is my interest and if I'm India soon I'd love to see the show. best wishes, Jason
