I've recently read that although the autochrome was announced in June 1907, due to high demand, plates weren't on sale in Britain until October 1907. I have two autochromes taken on the 18th of October 1907 in Sefton Park in Liverpool.
Does anyone know of any British autochromes that might be earlier?
That might be earlier?
I'm just curious.

Hi Stephen,
I did my MA thesis at DMU on early autochromes in Britain. The 1907 Catalogue of the RPS exhibition has quite a few examples of autochromes being exhibited. It was held in September so they must have been taken prior to that. I know two plates by John McIntosh (the secretary of the RPS at the time) are held in the the National Science & Media Museum's collection in Bradford.
Best,
William
Hi Stephen,
Yes, Autochromes were available for a short time in June. The RPS exhibited over 100 in their Annual International Exhibition. The Society of Colour Photographers also displayed many in their first exhibition, that ran concurrently with the RPS's.
