Comments
As far as can be ascertained, the entire stock of B&S negatives and ciné films, together with any residual prints in stock, were all destroyed in the catastrophic attic storeroom fire at the studio in 1991.
Does anyone have any information as to the status of the original Bourne & Shepherd inventory?
Samuel Bourne had shares in my great grandfathers photographic process, my great grandfather was the Australian inventor Henry Sutton who invented a new halftone process. The company was called Sutton's Photographic Process Syndicate Ltd, the process was called Electro-Phototypy and the company was started in England in 1891.
