History is Now at Hayward

Can anyone report on the exhibition up through 26 April at the Hayward Gallery "History is Now" in which artist-curators "take on Britain" since WWII? April 16, Laura Guy, curator, writer and lecturer at Goldsmiths, presents her research focusing on "the recent histories of British photography".

  • Hi Bill, Just saw this today. I do know Laura but have not seen the exhibit myself. I have been at RIT for the past 20 years. Where does the time go.

    Hope you are well!

  • Thanks, Angie. Somehow I missed seeing a notification of your response, now nearly a year back (maybe Paul missed his invite similarly). Ran into Paul in Paris for Paris Photo (shut down because of the terrorism); didn't recognize him beardless (but he spotted me, bearded). How are you dong? Feeling historical yet? Still at SAIC? (Met someone from there yesterday.)

  • Pauk Hill had some comments on FB regarding the exhibit. His work is included though he didn't have permission to take pictures of his own work in the installation and  apparently wasn't invited to the opening, I understand.
