The PhotoLondon resource - PhotoLondon.org.uk - which has been active for many years and hosted by the Museum of London is currently offline. The Museum has recently upgraded its website and may have impacted PhotoLondon. This has been raised with the Museum and is currently under investigation. Sadly, because of the way the site is constructed the underlying data is not visible through archive.org.

Hopefully, the site will be online before too long.

  • Hi - Is there any progress is getting this incredibly valuable website back up and running?  If not, is there something that can be done to help?  I am back to creating my highly annotated bibliography of 19th c. British photographic journals for my website  flemingphotohistory.com   This underscores how important thaat website was in bringing already researched data available for reference instead of making scholars research again.  Hope good news.  Thanks

    • Hi, Paula. I make periodic enquiries with Museum of London. I suspect it's not a priority. Mu last enquiry went unanswered so I will try again.

  • This is a critical, extremely valuable resource!  I hope there is some way we can persuade the Museum of London to support it.  All of that data can not just be tossed into the electronic wastebin.  How can we help?

  • UPDATE: conversations are still ongoing.
