Glass plate negatives are found in many collections in museums, libraries and archives. This half day event is aimed at heritage professionals or anyone with responsibility for these collections, who are looking to undertake projects with these materials for the first time. The event will offer introductions into the history of the format, its care and conservation, and will present case studies which demonstrate approaches to digitisation, cataloguing, outreach and interpretation. As such It will also be accessible and open to students and other practitioners.
The event runs is on Thurs 17 May 2018 from 14.00 to 17.30 approx. It will followed by networking event from 17.30-18.30.
Doors open at 13:50.
