The Tate's annual report for 2015/16 reports a large growth in the photography collections. As part of the donation of photographs from the Eric and Louise Franck London Collection, an important group by black British photographers was accessioned during the year. Jane and Michael Wilson donated a body of British and international photographic works, among them important works by Taryn Simon. A purchase of a large body of work by Chris Steele-Perkins was supported by the Photography Acquisitions Committee. Following the Rauschenberg exhibition at Tate Modern, a boxed portfolio of twelve photographs by the artist was presented by the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation.
Across the Tate some 1,113 new works entered the collection with a collective value of £27.4 million.
