Information and discussion on all aspects of British photographic history
I am seeking any information on Basil Green a London photographer in Manchester st W 1951-1954 who took a portrait of Australian writer Patrick White. I am wondering if he might be the same as the very hip Basil Green the founder of 'Vince' Menswear in the late 1950s.

Thanks Michael I found him still at that address 1954 but didnt have the earlier date it would be amusing if he was the same Basil Green fashion entrepreneur. V&A may know. cheers Gael
The first record of him in the London Post Office Directories is in 1947 at 46 Manchester Street, London W1. He was still there in 1950 but don't have the post 1950 directory copies.
