I spent some time with Wolf S in the 70s looking at his still photos.
Someone would knows about photography and politics in the 30s would be Prof David Mellor of Sussex University.
Fascinating person, Edith. When I was first attracted to her work in the 60s, I had know idea of her Communist background, like many others. Good luck!
