NS+MM: Associate Curator of Photography and Photographic Technology appointed

Phillip Roberts, previously a researcher at Birmingham Museums and a researcher working with the National Science and Media Museum, has been appointed Associate Curator of Photography and Photographic Technology at the National Science and Media Museum, Bradford. Phillip completed his PhD at the University of York which was titled The Emergence of the Magic Lantern Trade in Nineteenth-Century England. He has published work in Film HistoryCultural PoliticsThe Magic Lantern and Early Popular Visual Culture and is the editor of three special issues on media culture.
