From various sources I have collected hundreds of 35mm slides from the 1960s showing views of Devon, Cornwall and Wales. These are high quality family shots. I also have slides of Switzerland, Italy and Madeira taken by semi-profession photographers. I have not got space for them. Does anyone out there collect such images. Free to a good home.

Thank you Bobbie and John. I will list the suitable slides and send it to Reece by email. I think that he will find some useful views among them.
Regards
Malcolm
Malcolm - I suppose it's inevitable your collection will be 'picked at for its cherries' by interested archives. Will they digitise them? And, if so what do they then do with originals which can, because of a propensity to naturally degrade, become forgotten or are discarded? In which case the Devon slides could be returned to you.

Malcolm,
Re. your offer of 1960s family slides, we may be interested in those of Devon of towns and villages, rather than family groups. This could bring further resources to our 1930-1970 coverage of Devon by Reece Winstone FPRS and 1970s postcard work of Bill Bawden of Eagle Photos of Cheltenham.
Is it acceptable to you for us to seek such a selection out of the whole collection?
We posted a note recently about the nature of the Archive that Michael put up on British Photographic History.

Malcolm - Not so much 'recent' - but, Channel 4 may show an interest still.
Hi Bobbie
Thanks for the input. 90% of the slides are indexed and give a specific location and date. I may try to contact Channel Four regarding their recent interest.
Particular location shots may be of interest to those location's museums, libraries and-or family history groups. Are the slides sequentially organised, dated and labelled, etc? I ask as Channel 4 was interested in family photo and home cinematic stuff some while back.
