Exhibition: Portraits of Writers from 1850 to the present day

This exhibition of portraits features works taken from three Parisian collections. Photographs from the Maison de Victor Hugo collection evoke the early years of photography and the history of portraiture between 1850 and 1885, while photojournalism and studio portraits from the first half of the twentieth century are represented by a selection from the Roger- Viollet collections.

Lastly the show focuses on great photographers of the second half of the twentieth century, with works borrowed from the collections of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie.

Details of the exhibition can be found here.
