I am currently the Museum Officer for Photography & Digitisation at Dumfries Museum, and sit on the board of the Scottish Society for the History of Photography (SSHOP) as well as Editor for the Magazine Scottish Photography
I have been actively involved with the wet plate collodion community, have assisted in the teaching of several students, and have written about contemporary practitioners of the process. In 2013 i will be travelling to the US on a Churchill Fellowship to learn from and study with key Practitioners of the Wet-Plate revival.
It is with great sadness that I inform the community of the death of Seán MacKenna, a photographer and historian whose work with historic processes made a major contribution to the understanding of the field.
