"Hi Julia, That's a super picture of a Coventry street I haven't seen before!  I am researching the clothing and will look into the card stock as you suggested - that is a good idea!  Thank you for your help.  I will keep an…"

"Hi Julia, Thank you for the very quick reply!  So the photos with Broadgate and White Street on the back must be from 1879-1891 - that is very helpful!  I would love to see the photo you have of R.V. Green's studio.  To attach a…"

"Hi Julia,  I have some photos taken at R V GREEN studios, Coventry - Broadgate and White St.  Could you let me know what dates these studios were active please?  I am trying to match them with people on the family tree."

Hi Felicity... R.V.Green had his very very first studio with his brother A.V.Green in 1861 and traded as Swanswell Portrait rooms.  R.V. then went solo in 1862 and opened a studio in white street most probably operating from his house.  He later had a purpose built studio next to his house and I have a photo of it but don’t think I can add photos on here? He operated from that studio until his death in 1907. So he is credited with being one of the longest serving photographers in Coventry (1861-1907). During this period he opened a second studio in Broadgate from 1879-1891.

Hope this helps.
