Hi Lesley

As the 100th anniversary of the Armistice is looming the Daily Mirror would like to recognise the service our photographers gave by telling their stories in their words.

Men like Ivor served the Paper and their Country by recording the horrors of war only armed with their camera's and their bravery needs to be told and recognised.

If you would like to take part or could help in anyway could you contact myself or Rachael Bletchly at rachael.bletchly@mirror.co.uk.

Many Thanks

John

Lesley nice to hear from you. I do have some of Ivor's pictures from the WW1 it would be interesting to compare yours with the mirrorpix archive. The problem I have is in the early days of the paper the photographs and negative just have "taken by staff" written on the back of the images or on the outer negative bag, so I find it difficult to attribute images to photographers. However what really interests me is how Ivor became the first photographer for the paper and what his experiences were.

Regards

John Mead
