The is a group dedicated to the Brownie in the UK. It's mainly concerned with the cameras and collecting but the membership is very knowledgeable. George Eastman House did a useful exhibition celebrating the centenary of the Brownie camera. A social and cultural history of the Brownie would be a very worthwhile project. I wonder of there is anything in the Mass Observation archive in Brighton?
