Information sought on Linked Ring photographer

I am researching four platinum prints that I believe to be by Reginald W. Craigie. Information on Craigie is sparse on the internet, aside from his connection with the Linked Ring and the Salon I don't know much more about him. This is intriguing because I have identified two of the portraits - one is definitely James McNeill Whistler and the other is Augustus St. Gaudens. I would be grateful for any suggestions. I hope to travel to England later this year to conduct further research.

  • R W Craigie was elected to membership of the Royal Photographic Society on 12 March 1895 and elected to Fellowship on 14 May 1895. His address was given as Bank of England, E.C. [London]. The last listing as a member for him is in 1900. There does not appear to be any published obituary in the RPS Journal.

You will find references to him in the RPS Journal - see rps.org/archive. Interestingly there are a couple of other Craigies listed as RPS members during the nineteenth century.  He also exhibited with The RPS between 1891 and 1897 - see: http://erps.dmu.ac.uk/exhibitor_details.php?sn=Craigie
