Nicolaas Henneman commemorated in birth town

Frans Koopman writes...'we like to inform you that last  Friday mr Aad Schoorl, alderman of Heemskerk, has unveiled an information board concerning Nicolaas Henneman. The board has been placed along the path where he was born, since 2018 called after him: Nicolaas Hennemanpad'

Heemskerk is a small, historic town north-west of Amsterdam. Henneman was born in Heemskerk in 1813, became a valet to Talbot, then his assistant, and ran Talbot's Reading printing establishment. When this closed he became a photographer for a short period in partnership Thomas Malone. He died in London in 1898.
