Yes, I thought the same thing. I do think it's almost certain that Watkinson made the camera, or at a push Wilby, for Taylor's. Strange how little there is on the internet though.
I had intended to copy the two pages but it will be a few days before I get the camera set up. I have a 1/4 plate from Taylor's Drug and have not managed to find an advert for it, they probably advertised locally or in non-photographic papers.
I found a reference to a company by the name of Solomon on www.earlyphotography.co.uk and they operated out of Guilford Street in London (no "d") but I think yours has the "d"?
