William (Billy) Cochrane wields the branding iron on his CC Ranch, High River, Alberta, Canada

Photo by William's son, Arthur FitzGerald Cochrane (1888-1967). William and his cousin Tom Cochrane started the CC Ranch in 1885. Over the years, William became sole owner and eventually sold the ranch around 1909-10. He died in 1929.
