The latest Source magazine has arrived. Of particular note for BPH, John Duncan writes that aerial images of Ireland are to be digitised. The Royal Irish Academy has secured funding to digitise 1567 prints and negatives from Cambridge University's Collection of Aerial Photographs made in Ireland between 1951 and 1973. The full collection will be released and made available by May 2027.
Elsewhere Richard West interviews the historian Edward Madigan regarding the IWM project to collect material relating to the British experience of the Irish War of Independence. Julia Sauter reports that Photo Museum Ireland has secured full museum accreditation. It is the first institution in Ireland dedicated to comtemporary photography to do so.
