Ifor & Joy Thomas of the post war Guildford School of Photography. Professor Yasuko Suga flew from Tokyo to be Plenary Speaker at the recent 2012 LENS Festival at the National Library of Wales. She is an acknowledged expert on the Reimann School of Design in London where Ifor was Head of Photography in the late 1930s. She traced the direct link between Reimanns and the Bauhaus mentioning Walter Peterhans who moved from the Bauhaus to Berlin Reimanns to teach photography but chose not to relocate with the School to London following Kristalnacht. Ifor took this position.
