  • I discovered this image among my late father's effects. I had never seen it before. My only guess as to provenance is that he collected it on his travels in WWII when he journeyed across France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the Royal Engineers.I think it is (was) a cellulose nitrate negative about 8 on 127 size. It was in quite good condition, although I have retouched many superficial marks. Although kept in the same glassine envelope in cool, dry conditions it has since disintegrated so good that I had scanned it. If anybody has any clues on the subject please share them!
