An early stage in the building of a wooden camera based on Alan Greene's 'Primitive Photography: A Guide to Making Cameras, Lenses and Calotypes'. The main problem was adapting his US Imperial measurements into UK Metric units. It was not as straightforward as it might seem. The home-made wooden darkslide is designed to take 8"x10" paper negatives.

I find your project to be quite interesting. I am following it and it will be most interesting to see not only the finished camera but some photographs taken with it. It appears that you have a talent for fine woodworking alas something I sorely lack but can appreciate it when I see it. When do you think it will be completed?
